Mass Comm’s lobby was packed on March 20 with booths from multiple music companies – Sony Music, Clear Channel, CMT and SESAC, just to name a few – for Recording Industry’s annual Career Fair.

More than 30 company representatives from various segments of the music industry were on hand to network with students and explore opportunities for employment and internship.

During a series of guest panels, RI alumni shared their stories of how they nabbed rewarding jobs in the industry, and recording artists Native Run, a country duo produced by RI alumnus Luke Laird, performed an acoustic set to rave reviews. Match Records hosted a “Best of the Beats” contest, with students receiving feedback from musician and songwriter Damien Horne and GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter Shannon Sanders. Horne and Sanders also spoke to students about the current state of the recording industry.
