Justin Reed, host of WMTS-FM’s The Justin Reed Show was recently recognized as Radio Personality of the Year for 2015 by the Nashville Universe Organization. He received his trophy at the Nashville Universe awards ceremony on Feb. 23, held at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville.

Reed, who was also nominated for Promoter of the Year, was thrilled to receive the award. “Thank you to everyone who voted for me,” Reed said. “If you didn’t vote, thanks for listening. It is because of you that all this is possible. You are the best.”

Reed was quick to remind the audience that The Justin Reed Show airs Thursdays at 7 a.m. on WMTS 88.3 FM. A recent graduate of MTSU’s Recording Industry program, Reed (’14) has been focusing on his namesake program, planning a 100th Episode Extravaganza! on April 9 and making plans to travel to New York City for the 75th annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting System conference and award ceremony. The Justin Reed Show is once again nominated for “Best Live Music,” the same category that won Reed a Golden Microphone Award last year.
