Four School of Journalism Visual Communication students took home Silver ADDY Awards in this year’s competition, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation in Nashville.

MTSU’s stand-outs were:

  • Hannah Cole for Suttree Book Cover.
  • Rachel Carlson for Honda Odyssey Ad Campaign.
  • LaKeva Lewis for Pretty Grit Ad Campaign.
  • Justin Morales for Boston Terrier Poster.

These winning entries go on to compete in the American Advertising Federation’s District 7 Competition

Over 300 people attended the 2016 Student ADDY Awards event at Play on Feb. 23. This year’s competition attracted entries from seven colleges and universities in Middle Tennessee, making it one of the largest student advertising competitions in the nation. The judges for the competition were Karinne Caulkins, director of design at The Buntin Group; Leslie Jones of writerly.com; Ryan Scott, senior art director at GS&F; and Brett Warren of Brett Warren Photography.
