Recording Industry fair packs the house with employers

The Department of Recording Industry held the annual Career and Internship Fair earlier than usual this year
in the Bragg Media and Entertainment Building – and the March 2 date drew a recording breaking number of companies to campus.

 

Close to 50 participated in the morning industry “mixer” and networked with MTSU students seeking jobs and internships. Companies attending this year were:

The Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID) presented “How to Make It in the Industry,” featuring industry experts Halie Hampton of Maverick Management Group, Nathan Pyle of The Recording Academy, Brad Wilson of Broadcast Music Inc. and Pete Stormer of Vector Management. The second panel, “Live Sound,” featured Melissa Loveless of Live Nation-Ascend Amphitheater, Danny Poland, Pete Healey of J Sound Services, Martin “Tike” Santos of Clair Brothers, Bobby Brantley of Brantley Sound and moderator Frank Baird, MTSU assistant professor.
