Just days after the Great Tennessee Eclipse, the Baldwin Photographic Gallery opened its first Fall 2017 exhibit, Constellation: Fifteen Fine Art Photographers. The show will run through Oct. 20, 2017.

The 15 nationally and internationally acclaimed photographers range in age, photographic style and genre, but all celebrate the unique qualities of the medium, often taking from or adding to many of the medium’s 19th and 20th Century photographic processes such as platinum/ palladium, hand-colored gelatin silver, wet plate collodion, kallitype, gum dichromate, resin printing and contemporary pigment printing. Subject matter depicted include starry skies and wonders of nature, man and animal — a constellation of inspiring works from exceptional artists.

Obscura Gallery owner and artist, Jennifer Schlesinger, will discuss the works, photographic approaches, processes and intentions of the featured artists on Monday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. in MTSU’s Bragg Building, Room 104.  A gallery reception will follow.
