Change the Conversation focuses on country music’s gender inequality
About 300 people gathered at Change the Conversation’s event on Tuesday, Jan. 22, to hear nationally known journalists Ann Powers, Jewly Hight and Marissa Moss explore issues of gender inequality in country music and the media.
Songwriting nabs second ACM Lifting Lives grant
The Department of Recording Industry’s Songwriting concentration, headed by Assistant Professor Odie Blackmon, received a second $10,000 grant from the Academy of Country Music Lifting Lives Foundation.
