The Secret Sisters, an Americana duo that includes MTSU alumna Laura Rogers, was honored by the College of Media and Entertainment at its annual industry event preceding the Grammy Awards, held this year in New York City.

The College of Media and Entertainment’s WMOT-FM/Roots Radio and Center for Popular Music Director Greg Reish participated last month in a concert to help Gatlinburg, Tennessee, recover from November’s devastating wildfires.

WMOT-FM, Middle Tennessee State University’s public radio station, is dramatically expanding its reach and range of music to launch a new format dedicated to Americana music and a new home on the dial for its current jazz format.
