The Southeast Journalism Conference brought 336 journalism students and their advisers to Middle Tennessee State University, Feb. 14 to 16.

Students and faculty from the School of Journalism, Department of Electronic Media Communication and WMOT Radio are still celebrating after attending the Tennessee Associated Press College Awards banquet in Nashville in March.

MTSU students brought home 12 certificates from the Southeast Journalism Conference awards held in Atlanta, Feb. 26 through 28.

Sidelines Editor-in-chief Emily West won the Best Feature Writing competition Friday, Feb. 21, at the 2014 Southeast Journalism Conference, meeting this year in Lafayette, La., with the University of Louisiana-Lafayette the host school.
