Dr. Hanna Park’s Public Relations 4740 class implemented a campaign fall semester to promote student knowledge, interest and engagement in the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.

The mission of the new sports media minor and concentration in the School of Journalism and Strategic Media is to offer students targeted educational and hands-on opportunities to be successful in the sports industry.

Signed over 200 years ago, the U.S. Constitution was the focal point for Middle Tennessee State University students and faculty on Constitution Day on Sept. 17. The event was a campuswide read aloud of the Constitution in multiple locations on campus. 

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, served as a hands-on, outdoor classroom for College of Media and Entertainment students in 2019 for the sixth year in a row.

Three acclaimed alumni are now part of the Wall of Fame in MTSU’s College of Media and Entertainment: archival engineer Deborah Fairchild, New York Times best-selling author Leland Gregory, and public relations and marketing executive Dwayna Haley.

The Southeast Journalism Conference brought 336 journalism students and their advisers to Middle Tennessee State University, Feb. 14 to 16.

Three accomplished alumni were inducted into the College of Media and Entertainment’s Wall of Fame on Friday, April 20, during the annual awards ceremony held in the Student Union Ballroom.
